Our facility is 60,000 sq ft all under one roof. We are centrally located and able to service many regions within a couple of hours dock-to-dock. The forward section of the building houses our laser processes as well as brake press operations. The rear section is our welding and fabrication department as well as raw material and parts storage.
Columbiad Fabrication specializes in precision metal fabrication. We supply a variety of customers parts to their specifications and quality standards. We typically provide components but also offer full assembly services upon request. With our five lasers, 3 brake presses and full weld assembly shop we have no problem meeting large quantity demands and are very competitive on turn around times. While at the same time our strict adherence to our ISO:9001 standards ensures you receive a product that will meet or exceed your needs. Our central location and proximity to several major interstates lends to economical freighting.
Amada 9KW FOL 3015 Fiber Laser: capable of cutting 1.25” mild steel. Copper, Brass & aluminum. Cuts at speeds of 1500 IPM on 20 GA and 240 IPM on 1/4”.
Bystronic BySmart 4020 F6000: 6KW fiber laser with large 6'x12' cutting bed size.
Amada 4KW FOL 3015 Fiber Laser: this fiber laser is coupled with the MPFlex Automation system for auto load/unload
Amada 4KW CO2 3015 Laser: this laser is coupled with the AMS3015 load tower. Capable of handling up to 10 skids of material at once for complete automation operations.
Amada 4KW CO2 3015 Laser: this laser utilizes a linear drive system for faster pierce and transition time on parts.

Columbiad employees multiple full time employees whose sole focus is enacting policies to adhere to our ISO:9001:2015 standards. We maintain and calibrate top of the line measuring equipment as well as put in place multiple tiers of quality checks. All designed to ensure all parts meet customer specification. From critical tolerances, surface finish standards, edge quality/cut type and much more. We pride ourselves on maintaining proactive communication and never shy away from asking any and all relevant questions prior to commencing production.
Columbiad offers full MIG, TIG & ARC welding services in our in-house fabrication shop. We have work experience in high volume production work as well as in smaller volume ornamental jobs. We have extensive assembly fabrication experience especially in the conveyor/chute material handling sector. Custom jig fabrication to meet job needs is also available.
Columbiad offers our own delivery service when required. Our delivery fleet currently consists of multiple 30 ft flat bed trucks, a semi truck and enclosed trailer, one 30 ft box truck and box vans. With this we can always meet customer delivery needs and all of our drivers are CDL certified.
We utilize multiple software suites in our operation. Including; Sigmanest, AP100 and Dr. AbeBend. We have full time programmers who utilize this software to obtain the most efficient nesting possible. As well as time studies to provide the most accurate quote when coupled with the most efficient nesting. We can provide full reports to maintain transparency on sheet usage if we are using customer supplied material.
